15.1. Example 1

This section explains how to obtain the ISAR image of a box-shaped structure.

Step 1. The first step consists of creating a new data file where all the parameters of the simulation will be saved. Use the command ‘New’ from the File menu. Select ISAR  type.

Step 2. The second step is to generate the box. Select Geometry → Solid → Box. It will be located at (0,0,0) and the dimensions are 1x1x1 m.

Step 3. The next step is the configuration of the parameters of the simulation, which are located in the Simulation menu. In the ISAR menu configure the following values, and click on Save:

Step 4. Select Monostatic RCS for this example in the RCS menu.

Step 5. In Solver menu select Physical Optics option.

Step 6. Configure the observation directions. Use the Observation Directions option from the Output menu.

Step 7. Mesh the geometry by selecting Meshing->Create Mesh.

Step 8. Click on Calculate->Execute.


Step 9. Click on Show Results->ISAR Image.
